1. Overview
The Air Pump inside the TSU (TRO Sensor Unit) operates under a regulated pressure controlled by the Air Regulator.
📌 Recommended Pressure:
- 3.0 – 3.5 bar
- If the pressure deviates from this range, follow the adjustment procedure below.
📌 TSU Installation Locations:
- Pump Room
- Engine Room
- Weather Deck
- The exact location can be found in the vessel's BWTS Drawing.
2. Air Pump Pressure Adjustment Procedure
Step 1: Check Air Regulator Pressure
- Locate the Air Regulator connected to the Air Pump inside the TSU.
- Check the pressure gauge to verify if the reading is within 3.0 – 3.5 bar.
📌 Why?
Ensuring proper pressure optimizes TRO Sensor performance.
Step 2: Adjust Air Regulator Pressure
- If the pressure is not within 3.0 – 3.5 bar, lift the top cap of the Air Regulator upward.
- Turn the cap:
- Counterclockwise ("-") to decrease pressure.
- Clockwise ("+") to increase pressure.
- Monitor the gauge while adjusting.
📌 Why?
Proper adjustment prevents under or over-pressurization of the Air Pump.
Step 3: Secure the Adjustment
- Once the pressure is set to 3.0 – 3.5 bar, push the top cap downward to lock the setting.
📌 Why?
This prevents unintentional pressure changes.
3. Summary of Key Actions
Step | Action |
---|---|
Check Air Pump Regulator Pressure | Ensure it is set to 3.0 – 3.5 bar |
Adjust Pressure | Lift cap, turn "+" (increase) / "-" (decrease) |
Confirm Adjustment | Monitor gauge for correct pressure |
Secure Cap | Push cap down to lock setting |
