Overview
The HCOM-210 is a communication module designed for integration with the HGS-100-NEW system. It operates using RS-422 unilateral communication, transmitting critical system data to VDR (Voyage Data Recorder) without receiving data in return. The unit is designed for use in marine monitoring and alarm systems.
1. Safety Information (p.3-4)
- Electrical Hazards:
- Power must be isolated before installation or maintenance.
- The equipment operates at high voltage, requiring extreme caution.
- Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Precautions:
- Handle PCBs with care to prevent static damage.
- Use conductive packaging for PCB storage.
- DO NOT remove or install PCBs while power is applied.
2. Storage Before Installation (p.5)
- Store the equipment in a dry, covered area to protect from moisture and extreme temperatures.
- Inspect components for physical damage before installation.
- Ensure that packing cases are stored in a dry area to avoid water damage.
3. Communication Settings (p.6)
- Communication Type: RS-422 unilateral communication (HCOM-210 transmits data only).
- Baud Rate: 4800bps.
- Data Format:
- Data Bits: 8
- Stop Bits: 1
- Parity: None
- Standard Sentence Format:
4. NMEA-0813 Data Addressing (p.6-7)
