1. Overview
FM401 and FM451 are flow meters used to measure Neutralizer flow.
If FM401 or FM451 is in an ABNORMAL state, follow the steps below to inspect and collect necessary data.
📌 Installation Location:
- Inside the NEU Panel in the Engine Room
📌 Data Submission:
- After inspection, send collected photos to the AS Team (hanlaas@hanlaims.com).
2. Troubleshooting Steps
Step 1: Inspect the NEU Panel
- Take a photo of the inside of the NEU Panel.
- Capture a photo of the SYSTEM STATUS screen on the touchscreen.
Step 2: Swap FM401 & FM451 Connectors
- Disconnect the 4-pin connectors of FM401 and FM451.
- Swap and reconnect them.
- Take a photo of the inside of the NEU Panel again.
- Capture a photo of the SYSTEM STATUS screen again.
📌 Why?
Swapping the connectors helps determine whether the issue is related to the signal transmission or the flow meter itself.
Step 3: Restore the Original State
- Reconnect the connectors to their original positions.
- Send all collected photos to the AS Team (hanlaas@hanlaims.com), categorizing them according to each step.
Step 4: Verify Flow Meter Selection in DEBALLAST screen
- On the DEBALLAST screen, press the "START" button.
-
Select either NIP401 or NIP451:
- Selecting NIP401 → Flow is measured by FM401
- Selecting NIP451 → Flow is measured by FM451
- During Deballasting, ensure that the NIP corresponding to the properly functioning flow meter is selected.
📌 Why?
Only the properly functioning flow meter for NEU should be used during Deballasting.
