1. General Information
Valve operating time can be adjusted by manipulating the flow reducer installed on each base plate. The operating time is influenced by the following factors:
- Length of yard piping
- Valve size
- Oil characteristics (e.g., viscosity)
- Ambient temperature
- Distance between the hydraulic actuator and solenoid-operated control valve
⚠️ Note: The operating time is initially set under standard ambient temperature conditions. However, actual performance may vary based on real-time temperature and oil properties, especially when the actuator is far from the control valve.
2. Valve Operating Time Recommendations
- The recommended valve operating time is between 1 second/inch and 3 seconds/inch (excluding globe valves).
- Adjustments should be made based on equipment characteristics and feedback signals.
Key Adjustments:
- If a feedback signal is received from the flowmeter, shorten the valve operating time.
- For the HLT-13 model, operation time should be 6 seconds or less when receiving a flowmeter feedback signal.
3. Recommended Valve Operating Time Table
Nominal Diameter (mm/inch) | Recommended Operating Time (s) |
---|---|

125 (5") | 6 ~ 18 |
150 (6") | 8 ~ 24 |
200 (8") | 10 ~ 30 |
250 (10") | 12 ~ 36 |
300 (12") | 14 ~ 42 |
350 (14") | 16 ~ 48 |
400 (16") | 18 ~ 54 |
450 (18") | 20 ~ 60 |
500 (20") | 22 ~ 66 |
550 (22") | 24 ~ 72 |
600 (24") | 26 ~ 78 |
650 (26") | 28 ~ 84 |
700 (28") / 750 (30") | 32 ~ 96 |
800 (32") ~ 900 (36") | 40 ~ 120 |
1000 (40") | 48 ~ 144 |
1200 (48") | 56 ~ 168 |
1400 (52") | 60 ~ 180 |
4. Additional Notes
- Flow Reducer Check: Always verify the status of the flow reducer before adjusting the valve operating time.
- Feedback-Driven Adjustments: Continuously monitor equipment feedback to optimize valve operation.
- Temperature Sensitivity: Adjust settings based on temperature fluctuations to maintain efficient performance.
